Lvl 36: Lazy Spring Cleaning pt. 3 Life Hacks for Household Chores

1.Towel or socks instead of Swiffer

  1. Microwave bowl of water (and lemon) in microwave 2-3 minutes to steam clean it
  2. Tie bag of vineger on shower head and leave over night
  3. Put a scrubber on a power drill
  4. Put newspaper at bottom of trash to absorb liquids
  5. Prevent/lessen wrinkles. Out ice cubles in dryer
  6. VINEGAR. LOTS OF VINEGAR. Cleaner dishes in dish washer. Add 2 cups to a load Scrub out water stains on window Remove rust by letting it soak Remove wine stains, sponge the area with white vinegar Sticker removal Wear an old sock as a glove and clean blinds with you guessed it, vinegar! Unclogg drains with baking soda + vinegar
  7. Have a pair of “mop socks”
  8. Baking soda + hot water on greasy pots n’ pans
  9. Have a blender clean itself. Dishsoap + water filled HALF way, rinse and repeat (literally)
  10. The dish washer is a washer, not just for dishes but for other : tools, toys, laptops, phones (jk)
  11. Clean your sponges in the wash machine instead of buying new ones. And cut them in half with scissors
  12. Use Coca-Cola to clean your toilet
  13. Eliminate house odors. Cook a teaspoon of vanilla in a mug in the oven or cook bacon
  14. Wait ‘til the last minute to dry your clothes. Put a dry towel in the dryer with a wet set of clothes to dry faster
  15. Listen to music or a podcast while cleaning to boost morale
  16. Pour baking soda on stains, let it sit for 20 mins, then vacuum it up
  17. Attenuate (break down) large tasks like “cleaning your room” or “cleaning your garage” into sections or specific tasks

19.Set a time limit, then go do something else. Commercial break cleaning, “one battle” cleaning

  5. Have “room bags” when cleaning a room. Deposit stuff that needs to go into the kitchen in one bag, the living room in another, etc.
  6. Wait it out. Spray something (your oven) with cleaner and let it sit there. It’ll be easier to scrub in a few minutes.
