Lvl 86: How Laziness Can Eradicate the Coronavirus

Relax. There's no reason to panic. You've probably seen it all over the news, all over your social media feeds. The CDC has officially called this whole Coronavirus thing a "Pandemic". Several states have signed a "State of Emergency" into effect. Bars are closed. Stores are closed. Liquor stores are closed. Schools are closed. The whole world is shutting down to prevent this virus from spreading And how do people react to all of this? PANIC! They're rushing out to the stores to save their own asses (uhhh...both literally and figuratively. Don't even get me started on the TP raids) People are worried, they're afraid, that this might be the END OF DAYS! Look man, this virus isn't going to cause an apocalypse. In fact, even a more lethal one isn't going to either. No virus ever will cause a big societal break down. Ever. Yeah, the system sucks. Healthcare is shit. There are some fundamental flaws in how it all works. But the fate of society lies in the hands of the individuals and how they react to the situation, not the government or systems. The fate of society lies in our ability to remain calm and not worry. See, when people react with panic, when they worry, when they give into feeding their own Ego and saving their own ass, it creates this ripple effect and soon everyone in the sea of the universe is also panicking and making waves until we together create a hurricane and destroy ourselves. Panic leads to destruction, not the virus itself. So don't cause any destructive waves yourself by worrying. This is about us fighting our own Ego, and emotional turmoil we feel inside, not fighting the virus itself. You can't control the virus, but you can control how you react to this whole situation. Focus on what you can control here, just like any situation in life. Focus on controlling how you react to your emotions. Relax. Take only what you need and don't hoard supplies. Take it easy. Don't feed your Ego. Feed your stomach some Cheetos and lie on the couch. Don't rush out of bed to the store. Stay at home. Control your fear. Recognize it for what it is -- a survival instinct, but don't get caught up in it. Be concerned, but don't be worried. A problem is only as big as you make it. Collective as a society, we decide how big this problem is going to be. On the individual level, the lazier we are, the better shot we have at eradicating this whole thing (A) and the more likely we are to avoid a complete collapse of society (B). You're not supposed to have any human contact. Well, that's fortunate news for us ProcrastiN8rs. Just abide by what your doing, staying home on the couch all day. We'll be fine. After all, our lifestyle is "quarantine". Read the full blog: https://www.procrastin8r.com/blog/coronavirus Subscribe to the newsletter: https://www.procrastin8r.com/subscribe
