Lvl 95: Takin' It Easy with Your Roommate or Partner While Stuck Together in Quarantine (Part 1)

Sick of the person you're isolated with? Whether it's a family member, partner, or roommate, you're inevitably going to get on each other's nerves during this whole virus thing. It's going to happen. I mean, you're trapped inside the same building. Together. For an undetermined amount of time. Ugh. There's no avoiding the Tension that's going to arise. But don't worry! It's not so much about negating Tension completely, but how you handle said Tension. You have two options: a) Escalate it into drama b) Simmer down and approach it cooly and calmly. As always, I suggest the relaxed, lazy path. Don't jump up and cause drama. State what's bothering you in a calm yet firm tone. Do NOT let it build up. The longer you ignore the tension, the stronger it becomes until it...SNAPS! And when you snap, you cause drama. Drama taints a relationship of any kind, poisoning it to become a Situationship. You have to untie that tension nicely, slowly, deliberately. You can't hold onto tension forever.Don't even try. It's not possible. You're gonna have to let it out sooner or later, so you might as well do it in a cool-headed controlled way, rather than snap into a fiery rage. Smoothly untie the tension between you and the person you're living with. A simple conversation can save a lot of headache. Remember to understand before trying to be understood. Aim to find a resolution together, not be the winner of an argument. In today's episode, we cover some of the ways to at the very least, not strangle each other, when it comes to living together with someone during quarantine. Next week, we'll wrap up the entire list. Doin' it all later, man. Read the full blog post: http://www.procrastin8r.com/blog/livingtogether Subscribe to thew Newsletter: http://www.procrastin8r.com/subscribe
