Lvl 48: Laziness is your Freedom

It's Fourth of July, Independence Day, a time to celebrate our freedom. But Freedom is something people don't have much of as corporate workers. You must escape the plantation and be a procrastinator! Instead of owners outright trading slaves on the market, and physically whipping them for bad behavior, they have ever so cleverly and cunningly created a system in which the slaves "sell" themselves, writing resumes and going through interviews and are later tortured through psychological and emotional tactics, being given an unfathomable amount of work load with very little leisure time and given threats of "losing a job" (and the ability to pay bills to survive). It's a less overt approach and more of a covert one. While slaves are no longer overtly traded and tortured, there's no doubt that the average worker can barely make ends meet (survive) and is under extreme amounts of stress. If you are working your ass off at your job, but at the end of the day, the only thing you spend it on is a roof over your head and food on the table ...then your labor efforts are no longer an "opportunity for economic advancement" but a means of self preservation. That in itself is the very definition of slavery. If you rely on the approval of somebody else and the pennies they give you to survive, then you are NOT free. If you see your job as a stress factor and not as an opportunity to grow, if you come home worn and fatigued after a day at work, you are being emotionally and psychologically tortured. There may not be physical scars or anything, but you feel pain. They know that and try to tell you to "push passed your limit" and "work harder" ...And that is what torture is: deliberate pain caused to you. Debt slave, corporate slave, desk slave, wage slave, consumer slave. Whatever you want to call it. Every race is the property of corporate profit and you are a part of the property. Fortunately, there's the "Underground Railroad" of the modern era and it's called the Lazy Mindset. Don't work for anyone else and do what you want instead. Take control of your life by creating freedom as a ProcrastiN8r. Read the full blog post: https://www.procrastin8r.com/blog/corporateslavery
