Lvl 104: You Don't Have to be Passionate About Anything

Passion is bullshit. Yeah, I said it. Contrary to popular belief, finding your passion is a waste of time and energy, I mean do you know what it's like to actually be passionate about something? Are you aware of the level of enthusiasm and devotion you need towards something in order to consider yourself "passionate" about it? It's a lot. And I mean A LOT. Yet we're always told to "find your passion". You might as well try to find an EA game in the past decade that isn't rigged with rip off DLCs. Not gonna happen. Heck, I can't even find my keys or wallet, yet alone my passion! Truth is, most people, especially us lazy procrastin8rs aren't really passionate about anything, nor are we ever gonna find it It's meh. whatever. But the thing is, you don't have to be passionate about anything in order to be successful, as we're often lead to believe. You don't need to be passionate. You just need to...like it. LIKE the thing you're doing. No need to feel this over-the-top love and obsession towards it. Just simply...like it. Now I can guarantee, there is at least something you like, whether it's scuba diving, textile painting, or playing video games. There is something you like, at least a little bit. The key to success is not this grand gesture of enlightening passion. It's simply a matter of doing what you like and being able to support yourself while doing it. How do you make that happen? Well, create something that would make you think: "I like this enough to pay money for it." If you like craft beer, for example, you can open a craft beer pub that you, personally would like to visit. In doing so, you're not building a passion project or whatever, you're simply doing something you like anyway. Build your life around what interests you, instead of working to be able to support said interests. Again, it doesn't have to be a huge passion or anything, just enough of an interest to feel satisfied in doing it.
